Violet rested her eyes, extremely tired of saying her number and codename over and over again. She slightly wondered if what information she had was really worth all this, but shrugged off the thought since it would mean her friends dying. All of a sudden her AI appeared, Charlie. "If you keep going through this pain I'm going to tell them what you know just to get it to stop," she said. Violet made a small smile, but still talked very weakly from the pain she was in from the torrture. "Don't, all I know is the location of other freelancer squads; I'm not getting others killed so I can sit in a prison cell instead of being tortured."
Now extremely tired from all the questioning and pain, Violet fell asleep, knowing whatever pleasant dreams she had would soon be replaced by more pain.

Mace walked in, a marine behind him carrying it in. The doors sealed behind them. The MindTear was quickly set up. "I've been impressed by your willpower so far," he said to the inert Victoria, who probably awoke as soon as they came in but didn't show it, "But it has forced my hand. Either you tell me something that I want to know...either the location of other freelance squads, or the base or operations, or something that would interest me...or I'll have to use this on your. As you surely know, it is extremely painful, and try as you will to resist it, it just attacks in too many directions. And, in some cases, it may completely rupture your mind, virtually killing you. So go ahead...pick an option."

(( Victoria lol? ))
Violet woke up, not glad to hear the voice of her interrogator. She opened her eyes, and saw what she had hoped they didn't have, a MindTear. "Tell you what I know and I get to sit in a prison cell, don't and I get to have my mind ripped apart and you find out what I know... I guess I'll talk. Freelancer was started by the director of the Spartan program, who wanted to further enhance spartans. He made the director of the project the current secretary of defense, and him recruit spartans that he thought excelled greatly in one area, for example my stealth. All, well most freelancers were implanted with an AI that was a part of what was once a whole AI, like Charlie here who allows me to become invisible and completely quiet," She said, looking to the left at her now visible AI.
"At first we fought alongside other spartans against the Covenant, but then the director of freelancer got greedy, believing he could do more to help humanity if he was in total control. He had us start assissinating politicians, leaders, anyone in his way really. His last and final target was the director of the spartan program, who had a computer with the location of every spartan. If I were you, I'd have your spartans take out the tracking chips in their armor."

((Ah, crap, my bad. I don't even know...))
"That explains why I don't know so much about them. But you yourself just said the director was "greedy" and was assassinating innocent, helpful people to achieve his own goals. Are you still following the order's of him and his people? If not, why are you still the enemy?"
Mace obviously did not know how much she was telling the truth about, but he was playing along for now. Somewhere in his gut he kind of believed her, to be honest.

"The only reason I did as ordered is because Earth would stand a better chance with a single person leading us. Just look at the last few battles, because of how complicated government and military command has gotten soldiers have had to wait days just to get told what to do, usually by then they're dead. I'd rather assassinate a few politicians than have more soldiers killed," Violet said as she rested her head against the medical bed she was strapped to, trying to get an ounce of relaxation.

"Well, that's quite a story, miss. However...and trust me on this...I've heard hundreds of crazier ones, and hundreds that are even more believable. I might check out your story, but I might just MindTear you anyway, because I know I'll be getting the truth. I'll sleep on it and you'll know which way I decide to go." Mace smiled sarcastically, as if his news had been that Violet had just won the lottery. Then he sauntered out the door, which shut and locked behind him.
((I gtg, but I have an idea to get the storyline going again tomorrow...I know you're kind of stuck right now. you'll see))

(( Alright, cya ))
"Go to hell..." Violet said as he walked out the door. She had been in the same position, strapped to a table standing up for the past two days and was incredibly stiff, but she knew it could be worse. "I'm glad you realized resisting would not help out the situation at all," said Charlie who had been quiet during the interrogation. "I told him something useful without getting any freelancer killed, so I'm happy, the guy's still a douche bag though," responded Violet who was attempting to crack her neck but didn't have enough room.
Before Charlie could respond, the door to her room opened. It was Shifty, who was carrying a tube containing two pills. Violet, who had her eyes closed figured it was Mace; "Can whatever you're gonna do wait an hour? I'm tired as hell." she said plainly. "Oh, this isn't Mace, I'm Shifty. I've got your vitamin and food supplement pill he said," somewhat akwardely. "Oh yeah, you're Scorpio's brother. Just unstrap my right arm, I really don't wanna be fed like I'm a kid. How's your leg by the way?" she said, somewhat jokingly. "Great, how's your hip?" Shifty responded as he unstrapped her armed and put the two pills in her hand. Violet just laughed softly as she swallowed the pills. "Thanks by the way," she said as he strapped her arm back up and began to leave. "No problem," said Shifty as he closed and locked the door.

((This is really long. Wasn't intending on it being this long...way longer than I thought it'd be. Sorry about that. I'll summarize it at the end if you don't want to read this all. In fact, I'm not expecting you to read it all.))
Torrent had returned to his room, and was prepared to get some quick sleep when his computer turned on. He knew at once it had to be orders, the secret orders that were probably very illegal. He typed in several different passcodes, and then the message appeared. It was coded and encrypted, so he quickly downloaded it and then deleted it off his computer. He uploaded this message into his suit, where built in decryptors deciphered it. Another passcode, and there it was, the message.
Release the Freelancer prisoner from custody and allow her to escape. Drug the captive, bring her above ground to this point. A map appeared and a location blinked. And then the message disintegrated from his helmet viewpad, all data of it erased.
For just a brief amount of time...3, maybe 5 seconds...Torrent considered this message confused. Was the Freelancer command and the Government command he worked for the same? Could he actually be considered a freelancer?
And then he stopped. This was an order. Torrent obeyed orders. They were not given to him to question, they were given to obey.
Quickly, he accessed his computer. He threw up several proxies, making it appear as if his computer was being hacked from the outside. If he tried to totally hide his computer, it wouldn't work. Eventually something work trace back to him. But if he made it clear his computer was doing the heavy lifting, but then put in fake background data which made it look like there was another computer behind it? Nobody would be stupid enough to hack their own computer. People wouldn't think twice about him being guilty. He set the computer to disable the holding room security, and then set the timer on a 5 minute delay.
Quickly, he sprinted out. He arrived at the holding cells just as the power went out. It would be dark for two or three seconds before emergency lights came on. Torrent hammered the two marines guarding the outside with the butt of his rifle, and then slumped down. Then he opened the door, revealing a corridor with various doors to each cell. Two more guards were on the inside, but he knocked them both out with a stun baton as the emergency lights powered on.
Next, before continuing, Torrent blacked out his suit. No more color scheme, no more identification showed, just black. Now, of course his computer ID was showing his indentification, but without a helmet to display no one would see that.
Down two doors on the left, he used the marine card key to open the door. 124 seconds, he thought, as he saw Violet start up, obviously sleeping. He released a stun dart from his wrist, which caught her in the ribs on the right. Typically, a Spartan could dodge that, but just waking up as she had been, she couldn't completely avoid it. The chemicals worked almost instantaneously, and she slumped down.
Now, Torrent grabbed a transmitter and placed it on the back of her head, where the AI was stored in her brain. This would amplify its signal, and drown out his own indentification. People would see that and assume that he must be some sort of freelancer. Slinging Violet over his shoulder, he sprinted out.
He could hear feet on metal and the door at the end of the hall where he had entered swished open. But he wasn't planning on going that way. He fired a round from the BR he held, while sprinting up a latter to the service tunnels. He sprinted down one, then two, and then jumped down out of them into an empty corridor. Seconds afterwards, he heard the service tunnels lock down. But it wasn't just the service tunnels, it was the entire base. He wasn't going to escape.
Expect that this section had no power. His second timer went off, and in the seconds before emergency power returned, he opened the door and was jetted up a compressed air elevator, working because of a power chip he had already planted in it. As he reached the top, open air, on the surface, an empty Warthog was waiting. He got in, and began to drive.
It was a quiet drive to the location, and uneventful. Good...he liked it that way. As he rolled over a hill, he spun to the side, and braked. He saw two men waiting...each in black with helmets covering their face. He handed Violet over. "Good work, Torrent," said one man. "You are a valuable asset." And then the distinctive flash and haze of a short range phase teleported occurred. They were gone.
And Torrent jumped in his Warthog, continuing onwards. The computer records at the base all said he was supposed to be on patrol. Well...he was. In fact, it was just time to return back to base, as his shift was nearing an end. He smiled. Another perfectly executed plan.
--
As he returned to the base, which was easy to get into when under lockdown, people all over the place where running everywhere. Every light was blaring, every soldier was mobilized. Torrent noticed that the landing bay was totally unoccupied, even though a Pelican was landing at the exact moment. He hurried over. The normal workers must be searching for the intruder. A man walked out, flanked by two Spartans. "Sir, can I help you?" Torrent asked.
"What is going on here?" the man asked. He was in full dress whites, with numerous medals and rankings...and then, Torrent noticed, a Spartan logo. Clearly, this man was part of the Spartan program. A high ranking official, if Torrent was reading his medals and other memorabilia correctly.
"The freelancer prisoner, we had just heard she was captured her...we came at once to acquire her and move her to a safer, more discreet location. This lockdown isn't about her, is it?"
"I'm afraid, sir, that it is."
In his mind, though, Torrent realized something. If this Spartan official was actually giving orders to the freelancers, and they had come to rescue their own by "removing her to a safer location", then he wasn't a freelancer. His government branch was completely different. Spartans rarely experienced this emotion, but Torrent could safely say that he was very, very confused.
((So...summary: Torrent gets an order to break Violet out of prison and bring her to a location. He wonders if the people who are giving him commands are actually Freelancers. He still breaks Violet out, carefully so no one knows it was him, and then brings her to the location he was supposed to, where these two guys take her. Back at the base, the people from the Spartan command, who is said to command the Freelance operation, arrive in a ship. Torrent realizes they were coming to rescue Violet, while pretending to take her to another prison. Now he knows that the gov't organization he works for aren't freelancers.
Its a little bit of godmodding, and I apologize for such a plot change. Now that I've done it, I realize this was probably too much plot change. I'll try not to do anything as drastic.
But from here, Jupi, you can have Violet rescued from the people by her Freelancers. You can be a prisoner and get interrogated more. You can escape on your own. Whatever.
And the base is pretty much the same, just they lost a prisoner. And were still fighitng and stuff.))

(( I acually read the whole thing lol, god that was long ))
Violet woke up, once again strapped down to a table. She knew she was no longer in the marine base, but now had no clue whatsoever where she wasor who had captured her. The door opened, and a man in a black suit sorrounded by five guards walked in. "I'm getting a little tired of being strapped down to a table getting asked questions, so now I'm going to ask. Who are you?" The man in the suit just laughed, and walked right in front of her. He lightly slapped her on both cheeks with the back of his hand. "Touch me again and see what happens," Violet said extremely angry now. Her AI Charlie was what was once the whole AI's anger. When she became angry, no one around her was safe.
He went to slap her again, but his arm was suddenly grabbed, extremely tight. He looked and it was Violet, who had broken through the straps holding her arms, and was now crushing his right arm. She suddenly broke through all her restraints, and began killing the man and his bodyguards with her bare fists. When she was done with them, it was almost impossible to identify their bodies.
She grabbed her helmet and put it back on, and grabbed her two pistol and battle rifle. Violet ran out the base, which was surprisingly empty. She kept running into a forest, and once she figured she was safe quit and sat down to rest. "Great, I'm in the middle of nowhere with no radio." Unknown to Violet, she was actually back in the forest that had the entrence to the base, and there were squads patrolling the perimeter looking for her.
She began hearing the crunching of leaves and branches, so sh quickly activated her cloaking device and jumped up into a nearby tree. Violet realized they were looking for her, and thought she had escaped on her own. "So there's a mole or something in the base that got me out to take me to those guys... and now I'm right back to square one." The two spartans were closer than she thought, and they heard her voice, just not what she was saying.
(( Kinda gonna godmode your guy so he has something to do, Elfy lol ))
"Calidus, you her that? She's somewhere around here." Shifty said to Calidus, who he was on patrol the searching for Violet. As the two walked past, Violet disabled her cloak and jumped down, elbowing Shifty in the neck and knocking him down. She pointed one of her pistols at him, and the other at Calidus' head.

((No worries))
"Well Shifty, it looks like you were absolutly right." He remained motionless for the time being, even though he had shields ((we do have shields right? If not its fine)). With his hands at his sides, Caldius decided against turning around before speaking, "Well freelancer, you think you can take on two Spartans? Alone and with pistols?" Clearly the Spartans were at a disadvantage but there was nothing wrong with taking a stab at diplomacy. Not to mention that he wouldn't get the chance to use a rocket at this distance.
