From the Journal of Heol Chrio, Neutral Night Elf
I can just now see how evil Vraz really is. Its one thing to do what you were born to do, to infiltrate, to spy, to assassinate, using all your skill to stay alive. Kill or be killed. Its another to see how it effects people first hand.
I am writing from a magic-wrecked village. It stinks of death and orcs, and the house I am in has no roof and is cold. But it is away from the conflict, away from Vraz's men who would kill me without hesitation. Indeed, if they recognized me, they would cut off their own hand to capture me. I would too if there's a 100,000 gold bounty on my head.
Still, the war goes on. The war which I am not part of. I am glad; knowing what war really is. I am also sad, because I know what war really is. And I am also sad, because I know, before long, I will have to take sides. Everyone will have to take sides, whether they like it or not. This War will rival the Demon Age...it will be the worst war we will ever have. I just hope it will not be the last.

Welcome to Dark Tide II: The Dragon's Fang! I'm your host, Tcat75, but you can just call me Cool Cat. Or not...'Cool Cat' is actually rather stupid.
Anyway, to business! This is a new, updated, better version of Dark Tide. You use the same charecters (If you want to, and I'd assume you would), and its based where the last one left off. I'll give a post to tell where we left off.
I said I updated it, and I have. I am going to copy and past, but anything new I will put in blue. And I will strike through anything I change my mind about. It helps for people who already know about the storyline, just need to see whats new. Anyway, hope you like it!
And in case anyone was wondering, I'm remaking this because it might be easier for new users to join in. The Other reason is that there is some new features that I want to add to the storyline, and I find it will be easier to make a new thead rather than edit the old one. There are some MAJOR plot twists.

The words are an exact quote from Xav Centura, regarding the Demon Age, recorded by Kingsley Smither, who, at the time, was a scribe in the service of King Valorum.
"...I will give a brief history of the Demon Age, and the Ul-Goroth. Almost 400 years ago, a race of demons, the Ul-Goroth, conquered Elienor, which they called Arrazia. For 300 years they ruled by might and terror, until, exactly 97 years ago, the Great Rebellion occurred. After a long war, hundreds of thousands of deaths, and much destruction, the Ul-Goroth were overthrown and thought to be all dead. Obviously, this is untrue..."
The Following is the journal of an unknown officer found in the ransacked fortress of Bar-Duran. The page is burned and bloodied, but readable.
The Ul-Goroth are sweeping across the land, like a horde of locust. I hope Sarah and little Emma are safe...Yendra is a long ways away from the fighting, but with Zhrackhiz, you never know...
Let me put this plainly: We are losing the war. The war goes badly, and we have lost many men. Some of them I knew, some where my friends. But there dead now. We have lost Al-Terith, Minerth, and Con'gillia. The Blood Elves kill with magic; the Orcs kill with the blade...between the two, our armies fall.
The trumpet sounds...something has been sighted. I must go. Let us pray I get another chance to write in this book...
The Latest Entry from Xav Centura's Diary
It is hard to believe, yet believe, I do. How can I not!? Its right in front of me! What? you say, What's right in front of you. Well...
Vraz Zhrackhiz, my master, is one of the last Ul-Goroth. They were believed deceased 90 years ago, but whoever believed that was wrong. The Ul-Goroth had suffered losses, but were alive. For 90 years, Vraz schemed, and finally, with about 75 Ul-Goroth under his command, he revealed himself. The remaining Blood Elves, Night Elves, and Orcs rallied to his cause.
Vraz proceded, on his own, to ally with the Dragons, but found them almost wiped out. The last Elder Dragon, a dame named Vivera, entrusted her last eggs to him before she died. Vraz took them, then proceded to coordinate his campaigns against the Elves and Men.
I was a Human Commander, in command of the capital city. My first skirmish with Vraz, I was knocked out, and -- I still thank Vraz for this -- but Vraz had cast some time of charm on me. It removed the veil from my face and revealed actually what the Humans were. Blinded, Arrogant, Buecrates, vying for power and wealth. I cannot imagine how the corrupted misers fooled me before...
Vraz gifted me with something no human had ever had before, at least to my knowledge. Magic. The Rock of Kuthian gave me mystical magical power, and lots of it. Vraz also gave me a blue egg, one of the last of the dragon eggs. Now, I could crush the corrupted Men and establish an Empire, one that would be wise and fair.
That is what I am doing.
Now, excuse me. I am tired. I'm going to bed.

FrontsNew fronts added when applicable. The Human Front: Karajan
Karajan is where the Human and Ul-Goroth armies have finally stalemated themselves. Karajan is a city overlooking the only pass over the White Mountain Range, which protects the more populized area of the Roiha Humans. Currently, Xav Centura is leading the campaign against Karajan. Arran is the commander of the Humans.
The Wood Elf Front: Wooloni
Wooloni is the capitol of the Wood Elves. Orrion Darkwind and his army unsuccessfully attacked it. They were utterly destroyed. Wooloni is in a state of rebuilding.
The River Elf Front: The Balcalli Plains
Vraz Zhrackhiz himself has come to combat the River Elves, because the River Elves have been very proved hardy and resistant, launching an ambush that wiped out three companies of Blood Elves and Orcs. Currently, no major Elves, or any other good race, for that matter, have joined this Front. The Dragon Eggs The following is a list of dragon eggs, whether they have been hatched, owner, name, and location (if egg, and if known, because Vraz has hidden them in his various strongholds). I encourage people to go looking for them. Any new dragon infomation will be put in green. This could make it easier, and if it doesn't, it shouldn't matter much. Races 'Good' RacesRoiha Men- These are the race that make much of the population of Elienor. They can be very stubborn and obstinate, courageous and foolhardy. Most are loyal to King Valorum, though a human traitor is not uncommon. The difference between them and the Olrone men is that the Roiha live in the northern and north-eastern plains of Elienor, in the many cities. They cannot use magic normally, but are good with many types of weapons. They are average smiths, creating armor from steel and iron. Olrone Men- The Olrone are the horse riders, living in the lower parts of the Arnechi mountain range, which consists of rocky hills and a surprisingly temperate climate. The raise and breed the best horses in the world. Their technology level is lower than many other races, and it shows in their armor, which consists of ring mail and leather. Their weapons are things usable on horses, mainly bows and spears, and sometimes swords. Firing while moving is their specialty, though there bow are not very unique. Magic runs stronger in the Olrone then the Roiha, and though, without training, a Olrone will never cast a spell, danger sense and animal calming is a frequent ability. They are fighting Vraz and his army, but are not really allied, or even friendly, with the Roiha. Wood Elves- These are some of the hardiest of creatures, nature- and peace-loving. Their habitat is, amazingly, the woods. They can live to be about 300 years old. Magic is a part of their culture, but it mainly consists of enchanting, healing, and precognition. They perform wonders with bows at shorter ranges, but lack skill for long range shots to some extent, for in the woods, a shot is rarely more than 30 feet. They are fabulous smiths, making armor out of a metal unknown to non-Wood Elves. These wood elves are proficient with pole-weapons, like spears and halberds. River Elves- River Elves are the best archers of Elienor. Their massi-wood bows are hand-made by the best of their crafters. River Elves live in the middle of Elienor, which boasts rivers and lakes. The River Elves’ magic is formidable, using attack, not passive, spells. Stunning, holding, and pushing is their usual, but they will use full-fledged attacks if necessary. The river Elves’ smithing doesn’t match up to the Wood Elves, but is still advanced. Other than their famous bows, the River Elves are skilled with the sword. Elder Elves- The Elder Elves have remained in hiding for hundreds of years, and wiped the memory of anyone who found them. They now reveal themselves for the first time since they went into hiding. The Elder Elves are extremely powerful magic users, only less so than the Ul-Goroth. They refrain from using weapons to decide the fate of their enemy, instead, they train in magic from a young age.Neutral RacesMaia-Very little is known about the Maia. Very little. These humanoid magic users are small in number, and very secretive. They are very powerful magic users, but ally with no side, though during the Great Rebellion some joined the rebels as generals. They have not been seen actually using weapons other than a typical staff, but have been known to wear swords. Aquata- TBA...later. Ignore them for now, but they'll show up when I feel it necessary.Goblins- What you think of when you think of a goblin and a Goblin of Elienor are very differant. In stature and appearance is where they are most similar. Green skin and red eyes are the usual, though grey, brown, and red skin are not unheard of. Elienor Goblins also stand about 5 feet. Goblins live in caves, weaving complicated catacombs of tunnels. They are not evil; a better term to discribe them is shy. Because of that, and the fact the goblins are excellent fighters if needed, people are suspicious of goblins, and thus golbins suspicious of humans. On the other hand, the goblins hate Orcs, who they considered are their disgraced cousins. The Goblins are also rather smart. Their advances in science allow the goblins to come up with many technical marvels compared to the rest of the world. As for their weapons, they are also impacted by their science, for the goblins have discovered ways to project objects such as a dart using tension. Thus, something the Goblins call a dart-launcher has come use. They are diffacult to make, but are more accurant than a bow and can shoot just as far. Due to the short supply of dart-launchers, crossbows are also commonly used. Besides these complicated weapons, Goblins will use things more crude. Knives and short blades are often the best thing in a small tunnel, so Goblins make the most of these weapons, attaching daggers to their wrists for a lethal punch or duel-wielding blades to use them to their fullest.

Races Cont. Races under Vraz ZhrackhizUl-Goroth-The Ul-Goroth, called many other names by people, such as: Ravager, murderer, raider, demon. This race of demons is very unique. Their thought process is more than instinct, indeed, they are sentiant. The Ul-Goroth are magic-wielders, which strength is only less then the Maia. They have naturally armored skin, and use their claws as weapons, though occasionally, you may see one wielding a large black mace or axe. Thier magic consists of attacks, mind control and intimidation. They are brutal, effeciant, and power-hungry. They follow a religious 'High Prophet'. Blood Elves- Blood Elves were a breakaway faction from the River Elves, who went their own way, and, after time, were corrupted. They focused thier magics to attacks, some mind control, and summoning. Their natural bow skills they forsoke, and used magics and brutally effeciant weapons, mostly swords and maces. They joined Vraz Zhrackhiz and the Ul-Goroth without hesitation. They are loyal to a Chieftan, who presides by his own strength. Night Elves- How the Night Elves came about is unknown; some believe they were a breakaway faction from the Blood Elves, some think they were spawned by summoning and gained life, some say they are not Elves at all. Whatever the case, these creatures are some of the most deadly existing. They speciallize in poison, using knives, spears and blowguns to serve as carriers for it. They train their magic so that they have some of the strangest and dangerous powers ever heard of: they can poison on touch, memory flash someone, deleting up to minutes of memories, and finally, cloak themselves, making themselves invisible. So when they joined Vraz, he knew exactly what to do with them. They make excellent infiltrators and spies, informers and assassins. Because they are few in number, they perfer not to work alone, but in teams of 3 or 4. Orcs- This is not the smartest of creatures, to say the least. They have a mind of their own, and sometimes are rebellious, but can easily be mind controlled. They are the cannon fodder of Vraz's army, but are relatively good. They use pretty much what they find, because Vraz can't give weapons to all of the thousands of them...not that he cares if they live or die, but whether they kill another enemy before they die. Jairl'lr Men-The Jairl'lr Men are a race of men who joined the demons in the Demon Age. The Jair'lr men thrived, but eventually became outcasts and hunted when the Demons were overthrown. There were forced to the lava slopes of Dhar, where they meagerly survived on lava fish and occasionally threst (a form of deer). Because of the harsh conditions, they were forced to adapt both to survive and fight off enemies. They discovered ways to use a grenade-like ball to burst into flame on impact, and their knowledge on ranged weapons, from throwing to shooting, was exceptional. Now, with the demons return, the Jairl'lr have become active, weilding their unique weaponry on the front lines of Vraz's army. ~ Troll Brute- Trolls come in two distinct variations: Brutes and Breakers. This paragraph talks about the Brutes. A Troll Brute the common troll, standing about 7 foot with scaley skin and weilding clubs. They are a smaller version of Lessers Demons. They are smart enough to form what you could call civilazation, however crude.Troll Breaker-The Breakers are deadly. Very deadly. Basically, the Breakers come to existance because of mutation. Troll Mutation is not as rare as human; rather, for every 250 Troll Brute spawns, there is at least 1 mutation. Each mutation, if it meets various requirements, is considered a Breaker. Most mutations do. The requirements are 8 feet plus, thicker skin, and one other useful mutation for warfare. For example, when going up against a Breaker, it could have from poisonous skin to fast speed. It gives the Breakers an element of surprise that will most times defeat their foe. In rare causes, Breakers will be able to use magic. Those that can are given a special title of 'Blaster', and often lead the Breakers into battle.Lesser Demons- There is a few races that are considered under the class 'Lesser Demon', but not a one of them has a lick of sense. Their brain functions almost solely on instinct. But still, they are formitable foes, and when mind controlled, they become almost double as deadly. Most prefer weapons that utilize their strength, such as large warhammers and great-axes. They cannot use magic. They stand nearly 12 feet tall, and their skin is almost deadly as their weapons: it is poisonous and sharp.Dragons- The name says it all. Ruthless, merciless, deadly, clawed, winged lizards of the air. The Elder Dragons of Elienor are smart, always scheming, and can talk. They do not hide in little caves, contrary to popular belief, hording gold and treasure. Their armored skin is rock-hard, thier claws can cut through several inches of steel, and the magical fire waves they produce can melt a house. On the other hand, the Common Dragons are less smart. They cannot talk, and are smaller, though still dangerous. Though there is not many Common Dragons, there is even a scarcer number of Elder Dragons. They follow Vraz Zhrackhiz loyally, though not a fanatically as some races. The Common Dragons have now been proven extinct, and what remains of the Elder Dragon race are 10 eggs.

Rules, Rules, Rules 0. Say 'Tc4t |s gR34T!!11!1!'
1/2. Ignore rule 0.
1. Dragons and Lesser Demons are unplayable, simply there to show you the major races. Lesser Demons and Troll Brutes are unplayable. Dragons can be controlled, with your charecter in control of the dragon. You can't be a Lesser because they, simply, aren't smart. They can't talk, and it would be hard to play as one. Ok, Elder Dragons can talk, so why not them? I don't think having a user controlled dragon running around the place would be very fun for everyone else...
2. Because of the scarceness of the Maia, one per user. Don't go crazy with the Maia, but I'll let you use more than one if you need to.
3. When you start out, your character, if good, must be part of Xav's army, and if bad, part of Vraz's army (that he's marching with.) Neutrals, I don't really care. Anywhere.
4. I may have 'updates' to the thread every 100 posts, or ten pages. occasionally. An update would probably be a new race or a major plot twist.
5. Magic is not necessarily elemental, but magic. (Excuse the term 'blob') An example of an attack is a magical blob of 'energy' that can damage. Some elemental is fine, but just note that if you have a magic user, he's not a 'fire' or 'ice' wizard. I'll post all my Magic Stuff in a later post for even more detail.
6. I am leaving the appearance of a race pretty much up to you. You can decide what the Blood Elves, Night Elves, Orcs, etc. As for the Ul-Goroth, still your choice, but in my head I'm thinking something like Covenant Elites from Halo.
7. Finally (this is mostly for me and Jup), no big plot twists with warning, i.e. I won't have an army of Dragons appear out of no where and destroy the capital city or annihlate an army. If I want to do something like that, (Vraz is an example in this case) Vraz must order the dragons to go destroy the capital city, and you can't destroy the city in a post, you have to make them fight back. Same with a King, or army, or anything else. And make the army realistic, i.e. an army of dragons, like I just said, would be to powerful. Read the bio, and you find out that there is few dragons.

Magic [/u] To kill with magic, you can use an amount of energy to severe an artery in the brain that takes a tiny amount of energy, or use a magic blast, which is more powerful but uses more energy. So why would you use a blast? The other is easier. The answer is simple: magic users create shields around them to prevent being kills with a snap of a finger. The 'death spell' uses low energy but has low magical power. It is harder to break through a shield because of the low amount of power it contains. With a high-magic power blast, it is much easier to push on a shield and severe it. Magic is not something that you can speak and it happens. It is a mental force that you can reach into a draw from, but if you do so, you don't know what to do with it, so you must use Words from an ancient language to make it come about. So you can speak the words, and nothing happen, and you can reach into that force, and nothing will happen. Also, you must have that mental force, almost no humans do, or if they do, it doesn't sustain enough power to do spells, but only auras that are continuously on.

No need to adapt it just to roleplay.
